I love my PA! currently @ 3/4” 4ga circular barbell. Originally pierced this with a 10ga and used a smaller 12ga ring got healing purposes (06/19/14). Had it gauged to a 4ga by the time initial healing was complete* 2 months later.

*do not attempt this unless you know what you are doing as complications can be severe without proper knowledge, training, and experience.

Sooooooooooooooo…….no patients on my part. Decided a few days ago to go ahead and gauge my PA to a 6. Decided to Stay at a 6g permanently or until further notice at least. The balanced weight of the ring and the thickness feels about as perfect as I could ever want. So this, I guess you could say, is the final product. Now to allow it to complete it’s healing process. No problems to speak of and healing is going flawless in spite of my inability to leave it at gauge it was started with.

6g and done.
Cheers

got the male navel (manvel? haha) done, absolute breeze, little to no pain, moving onto my later on, thanks for the advice haha

That’s fantastic. I also have my navel done, both top & bottom. Thgey’re nearly painless but take forever to heal. Take care to reeeeeeeeeeally take great care of it and it’ll turn out perfect. Don’t over clean and try your best to just keep your hands off of it other then to clean it.
Cheers

thanks man! i've got one pro piercing so far, i think i'm gonna go onto my nipple and lip next. that said, you have much more experience as an actual piercer ofc haha

I will tell you, your nipple will be a bit more painful than your PA and the healing process is a tender and painful one, as it tends to get bumped a lot more than one may realize. Your lip on the other hand, is a piece of cake to get done but a pain in the ass to heal if for no other reason than it’s in a spot that is constantly barraged by contaminants i.e., fooda, drinks (other than water), your hands, lip balms, shaving creams, tooth paste, and even mouth wash. But for either, as long as you follow a consistent and religious cleaning regiment you should do just fine. The most important thing to regiment when dealing with any piercing is to listen to your body. If something feels off, get to a place where you can get the answers you need. A hospital is a last resort but never rule it out. A local reputable, APP Certified member, body Piercer should ALWAYS be your first choice and your PCP your second but of course these two are interchangeable given you’re doc actually has a great knowledge of piercings and how to heal & care for them properly. The internet, your friends whether they are pierced or not, are not the places to search for answers. I’m available to help as much as I can but not being able to physically examine the piercing site limits my ability to consult properly to my standards. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask anything else, any time and I’ll do my best to get back with you asap.

Being fathers is getting our daughters up at 5:30 am making breakfast getting them dressed for school and putting them on the bus by 6:30 .This is a typical day in our household . It’s not easy but we enjoy every moment and eveny minute of #fatherhood . #proudfathers #blackfathers #prouddads #gaydads

#people#this dispels like fifty stereotypes and I love it

Okay I’m reblogging this again because I want to point out how beautiful this is and the sheer number of stereotypes it disproves. The stereotype that a gay couple cant be good parents. The stereotype that men know nothing about caring for girls’ hair. The stereotype that all gay men are feminine. The stereotype that black men abandon their children. The stereotype that people with a lot of tattoos aren’t caring. The stereotype that black people are too lazy to care about things like school- This picture is a beautiful thing and I love everything about it and it makes me regain confidence in the world we live in

Best re-post EVER. I’m editing NOTHING from the original other than this addition I’m adding here. Pass it on as is please

Yeah, so I totally suck at patience. Just went up to an 8g circular barbell a well as put my frenum ring back in. About to do a saline soak for 30 minutes to ensure any and all bacterium is completely cleaned away/out of the still new piercing. My 4 weeks of primary healing is set for July 17, 6 week July 31. Gonna do the absolute best I can to wait it out to the 6 week mark before gauging up to a 6g…..maybe, lol.

hey dude! have my own self-done PA also, rock on! mine's just started healing properly haha, day 3.

To be perfectly honesty it is, to date, my favorite piercing. Not sure if it’s just that I did it myself (not that it’s my first self done piercing. I’ve been a piercer for 15 years) or that I know how much fun it’s going to be once it’s fully healed, lol. In any case, I love it! Props to you man, I hope all goes well got you and yours. Any questions or whatever, feel free to all C
Cheers!

Damn my impatience…. So, it’s been only 10 days since I performed my Prince Albert piercing. Now, initially, I pierced it with a 10 gauge needle but, due to a ring sizing issue, had to put in a 12g ring instead. Well, I just gauged it up to a 10g because, well, I just really wanted the 10g ring in. I will wait until the piercing is fully healed (primary healing anyway) before going up to an 8g but my goal is a 4g 5/8” circular barbell within a sorry a time frame as possible. With my frenum I was able to go from an initial 10g to a 6g in 4 hours after the full healing time frame sooooooooooooooo…..
We shall see. I love my PA! Can’t WAIT to use it on/in my bae!
